If you are wondering how to be nice to your girlfriend you have probably picked up some signs that it is not all rosy in your relationship. You must act fast as she may get fed up and decide to become your ex.

Ideally you should read a few books on relationships in order to get the full picture but I will try to give you a snapshot now. You need to treat the woman in your life with respect. If you are living together, then do not expect her to do everything around the house. Sure, she may be a better cook than you are but that doesn’t mean that you can’t do dinner some evenings. Or you could let her cook but be the one to set the table and tidy away afterwards.

Some men appear to have a gift for instinctively knowing how to treat a woman, for the rest of us it can be a little more complicated. At least it was until I read up on some techniques. My girlfriend was amazed. In fact it almost backfired as she thought another woman was teaching me how to behave! Not the result I was hoping for but thank goodness once I showed her my latest reading material she believed me. In fact she was very impressed I cared enough to be trying to learn new skills. Seemingly I hadn’t been showing I was interested in our relationship prior to this. I thought I was doing everything right, I took her out to dinner, brought her flowers and some jewelry but according to her I had forgotten how to listen. And that is more important than my over the top gestures!

Obviously it will depend on what the situation is with your relationship. If you are asking how to be nice to your girlfriend you are obviously worried that you are missing something. Why not try sitting down with your partner and asking her how she is feeling. Ask her if she is happy or is there something wrong? Some women like gestures whereas others, like my girlfriend simply wanted my attention but to talk not to do other stuff! I found out that women like to chat even if there is nothing important to say. They actually enjoy talking to us and listening to our views so long as we also listen to them. But they hate when we try to fix every problem. Just because they tell us they are having an issue at work or with a friend, doesn’t mean that they want us to solve it for them. They may just want reassurance they are handling the situation properly by themselves. They may simply be using you as a sounding board.

If you want to still be together when you are old and grey, you need to learn how to communicate properly. Then you won’t be wondering how to be nice to your girlfriend.

This is one of the best ding dong movies I have seen.

The writers had to be on the ball for this one. The comedy comes hard and fast so pay attention to the dialect.
Filmed in black and white in 1950 the old west cowboy code comes alive in a Massachusetts community.

Sam Smedley played by Clem Bevans puts a smile on your face from start to finish. If you don’t smile at least once than brand me a ding dong liar or call an undertaker cause you must have prairie in yer face. (yer dead boy….dead)

When an old time cowboy who likes to meddle in other peoples affairs goes north and east to visit his granddaughter the cultures collide in a fast paced, blistering rhetoric of well timed banter. You just can’t wait from one scene to the next. Even the dull scenes are spiced and witty, cleverly delivered by Clem Bevans.

If by the end of the movie you don’t love or at least like Sam Smedley you are right out ding dong low life with no funny bone or sense of haha. You best retire to the hills and live out yer days as a hermit, even the bears would avoid ya..

This rates a ten in my book

Best of the “Road” movies
The best of the “Road to” movies, and the only one in Color. Hilarious example of early Post-Modernism. In other words, a movie that knows it’s a movie and doesn’t take itself seriously. Full of hilarious jokes, fun musical numbers, and great ad-libbing by Bing Crosby & Bob Hope.

Apparently this is the only one shot in colour. There was a whole Road To series made and were actually good.

The comedy usually came as one liners and some visual effects. They were shot on stage so the background may look a little strange to some and don’t forget there was no computer imaging in those days.

Everything was cut from film and the strips pasted together or hand painted frame by frame or overlapped. No greenscreen or bluscreen.

Parents please watch this film first and afterwards make a decision if you want to have your child watch this film.

It is history of life and death, the struggle for survival of humanity under a brutal regime. The truth hurts but denial reaps repetition and history does have a way to repeat itself.

This is based on the true accounts by the survivors of Sobibor. It was made in 1987. I do believe this was aired in TV. There are some mild graphic scenes and may not be suitable for some viewers, however this did happen and as a reminder I have put it on my site not to let this happen again.

Unfortunately this carries on today in many parts of the world though not to the degree of production line murder that the nazis’s developed or should I say carried out the hellish, demonic plans of satan.

It is an inspiring movie of mankind standing up against all odds and certain death to fight back instead of continuing to be humiliated, tortured, worked to death, killed on a whim or put to death when they are not useful to the nazis ’s schemes.

Alan Arkin and Rutger Hauer star in this award winning movie about the successful mass escape of 300 prisoners from the Sobibor Nazi death camp. Fine acting and production values make this film a worthwhile viewing experience.

Symbols of human tragedy and human bestiality.

Taking into account that both Thomas ‘Toivi’ Blatt a survivor of Sobibor and Richard Rashke are writers of the film “Escape from Sobibor” , I’d like to recommend the website “Sobibor – The Forgotten Revolt, by Thomas Toivi Blatt” ( http://www.sobibor.info/ ) to you.

And let me quote a few words of Lech Walesa from the web page of that web site: “Sobibor remains as a reminder and a warning. But it also represents the testimony of a people and their dignity, and a triumph for all of humanity.” (http://www.sobibor.info/more.html)

A Matter of Life and Death – A Fantasy Romance during World War Two – George R, Busby, Michael Powell, and Emeric Pressburger
From IMDb: A British wartime aviator who cheats death must argue for his life before a celestial court.

Stars: David Niven, Roger Livesey, Raymond Massey, Kim Hunter, Marius Goring and a very young Richard Attenborough, it could be his debut.

A very worth while watch. I remember this when I was a youngster at my Grandparents house during Christmas break.
Once I realized it was a romance I went back to building a ship I had gotten for Christmas. However the beginning of this film stuck out in my mind ever since, that was over 40 years ago and I finally found it again.

A great picture and great colour, actually a combination of colour and black and white, but the colours for a movie made in 1946 are fantastic.

The story line is wonderful, the acting is done very well for a British movie of that era.

The special effects are amazing considering bluescreen or greenscreen was not thought of at that time.
There are so many unique things about this film for the time era it was made in.

By today standards it is easy and inexpensive for studios to use computer animation, CGI or sets built by computers etc. That technology did not exist in 1946 which makes this film much more exciting if you are into this type of stuff.

It is a must see movie for the story itself as well as the technical aspect.
